Tungsten
Wedding rings made from nickel-bound tungsten carbide are 100 percent hypoallergenic as the tungsten is bound to the nickel, keeping it from seeping out and causing irritation. Cobalt alloy tungsten, also commonly used, is still hypoallergenic but leaves the ring susceptible to damage from skin oils. Like titanium, tungsten is very strong, durable and lightweight. For those looking for traditional wedding rings, 24 karat gold is ideal. Twenty-four karat gold jewelry is made from pure gold and is hypoallergenic. In this pure form, gold is malleable and can be crafted into various shapes and sizes. However, requiring lifelong gentle care to protect from scratches and dings, 24 karat gold rings are high maintenance. Yellow and white gold alloys made with hypoallergenic metals such as platinum and palladium are suitable alternatives.

Instructions
1.Buff away fingerprints using a soft, dry cloth. Tungsten retains its polish forever, so you will just need to smooth away oily fingerprints periodically using a soft, dry cloth.
2.Brush away scratches. If your tungsten ring appears scratched, do not worry. It is not. Tungsten is too hard to be susceptible to daily wear-and-tear like scratches. Instead, these "scratches" are small pieces of material that are now attached to the tungsten. You can remove them with warm water and gentle scrubbing with a soft toothbrush.
3.Add mild detergent to your cleaning arsenal. For extremely contrary "scratches," you can add a few drops of a mild detergent to a small bowl of warm water and use the toothbrush to scrub the ring in this solution. This will remove any difficult marks and scratches completely.
4.Dry the tungsten ring with a dry, soft cloth. If you allow the ring to air dry, you will end up with spots on your otherwise unmarred ring.
